Mount Kinabalu is a prominent mountain on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Mount Kinabalu is located in the East Malaysian state of Sabah and is protected as Kinabalu Park, a World Heritage Site.

DAY 1 @Kota Kinabalu / Resort
KOTA KINABALU > KINABALU PARK HQ
Pick up and meet at hotel lobby or airport at 1200hr and 2hrs journey through scenic villages, valleys and Crocker mountain ranges to Kinabalu Park. Stop by Nabalu Market where local sell tropical fruits and handicraft souvenirs.
Check into Mount Kinabalu Heritage Resort. The rest of the day is your own leisure.
Dinner a at the resort Restaurant.

DAY 2
0700hr early morning starts after breakfast at the resort our team will pick you up and transfer to register at Park HQ please bring your original identification for the registration purposes, collect packed lunch, meet your mountain guide and transfer to Timpohon Gate to start the climb up to Laban Rata and settle in at Pendant Hut.
Arrive and check into Pendant hut @3,289m. You are compulsory to attend the mandatory Via Ferrata familiarization in Pendant Hut at 3.00pm – 3.30pm and meet your Mountain Torq trainer. There will be no repeat briefing, should you miss the mandatory briefing, any request for reimbursement will not entertain.
Dinner at Laban Rata Resthouse and overnight at Pendant hut. Lights will be off at 2000hrs.

DAY 3
Early start (01:30hrs) and light supper. By 02:30hr start to hike up to the summit (Low’s Peak) with your mountain guide. Once reached, take photos of the magnificent Mountain Kinabalu. Catch the sunrise over valleys and mountain ranges (If weather permit).
Then descend from Low’s Peak to meet your Mountain Torq trainer at Sayat Sayat Hut for Walk the Torq activity (French grade PD) at 7.00am. Fail to reach the cut off time will not be allowed to continue the activity, any reimbursement will not be entertained. The Walk the Torq will take 2 to 3hrs to complete. Return to Pendant Hut for a well-earned breakfast.
After breakfast, start to descend to the Park HQ to collect your certificate of achievement.
Lunch at Balsam Restaurant and return back to Kota Kinabalu city.

Lunch will be converted to packed lunch on Day 2 (Mt Kinabalu Descent) for climbers who arrived late and missed the lunch timing. Lunch Time: 12:00 – 16:30hr For Walk the Torq Activity, the minimum age required is 10 years old and at least 1.3m tall.

Sandakan
Set on a bay on the north eastern coast of Sabah and facing the Sulu Sea, Sandakan is less than an hour by air from Kota Kinabalu. Gateway to Borneo’s wildlife, it is a busy port, with ships loading timber, rattan, copra and bird’s nests. Gomantong Caves, 30km south of Sandakan are two caverns that are home to one million swiftlets. The lower Kinabatangan River, three hourse by boat from Sandakan is where you can spotthe proboscis monkey with the males sporting a pendulous nose, fat belly and thick white tail.
Turtle Island Park (Pulau Penyu National Park)
is located some 40 kilometres north of Sandakan in Sabah, east Malaysia. It consists of 3 islands – Selingan, Bakungan Kecil and Gulisan, including the surrounding coral reefs and ocean. The Park is famous for its green turtles and hawsbill turtles which lay eggs on the beaches of the islands. Turtle Island Park is administered by Sabah Parks.
Padas Gorge – Tenom
From Kota Kinabalu one can travel on the main highwayby an express bus passing through Papar, Bongawan and Kimanis and reaching Beaufort before taking the train to Tenom, a four-hour journey. The railroad snakes along the Padas River, giving passengers a spectacular view of the Padas Gorge. The Padas River offers a challenging experience to rafting enthusiasts. The Muruts in Tenom live in longhouses. A major attraction in Tenom is the Tenom Orchid Centre which has more than 600 species of orchids.
